Job Responsibilities

• Carry out thorough patient evaluations, including physical assessments and in-depth reviews of medical histories
• Play a key role in diagnosing surgical conditions by analyzing imaging studies and lab results
• Collaborate intimately with surgeons to formulate and execute tailored surgical treatment plans
• Offer crucial intraoperative assistance, such as prepping operating rooms, ensuring patient safety, and efficiently handing off surgical instruments during procedures
• Provide outstanding pre- and post-operative care, from medication administration and wound care to discharge planning and comprehensive patient education

Qualifications

• A Master's degree from an accredited Physician Assistant program
• Completion of clinical rotations with a strong surgical emphasis is highly preferred

Certifications

• Current and unrestricted PA-C certification
• BLS and ACLS certification required
• State licensure (or eligibility) as a Physician Assistant

Skills

• Strong grasp of surgical principles along with sterile techniques
• Demonstrated ability to interpret diagnostic tests and influence complex clinical decisions
• Exceptional communication and interpersonal skills
• Able to perform excellently in fast-paced environments, especially during surgeries
