If that’s how you want to be measured, we would love to speak with you.The RoleAs a Senior IT Systems Engineer based in our Seattle, WA office, you will own the systems, integrations, and automation that keep Amperity running. You'll engineer our systems, connect them to each other, govern access to our most advanced platforms, and automate away the manual toil that slows people down.You'll take on the hard, ambiguous problems: untangling a data-platform permissions model, building an integration so onboarding runs itself, or deploying a new AI tool for the company. You'll partner closely with the Security, Engineering, & People teams, and share your experience with the rest of the IT team. Strong technical depth, a bias toward automation, and excellent judgment about risk and access are essential.Interesting ProblemsBuild integrations and automation that cut manual work across onboarding, provisioning, and reporting, using AI-assisted toolingDesign & support the employee identity lifecycle (onboarding/offboarding, SSO, SCIM) alongside the Security & People teamGovern advanced data platforms (Databricks, Snowflake)Evaluate, deploy, and administer AI tools, including access, licensing, and usage guardrailsAdminister the SaaS stack (G-Suite, Slack, Zoom, Atlassian, MDM) & their integrationsManage the MacOS endpoint fleet and MDM policyBuild monitoring and automation to catch issues early and scale IT supportOwn backup, recovery, and continuity for critical systemsHandle escalations and stay responsive to employees' day-to-day support needsOwn IT documentation, asset and license management, SaaS spend, and vendor relationshipsPartner cross-functionally with Security, HR, GRC, & Engineering.About You5 to 7 years in IT, senior and hands-on, ideally in high-growth SaaSHands-on governance for Databricks, Snowflake or cloud infrastructureTrack record building integrations and automationComfortable leveraging cutting edge AI tools to build efficientlyExperience deploying and administering AI tools in a business settingAdvanced SaaS administration and MacOS/MDM experienceWorking knowledge of Okta identity workflows (SSO, SCIM, lifecycle)Experience with monitoring, backup, and recovery for critical systemsStrong judgment on risk, access, and least-privilegeBias for automation; a pragmatic, creative problem-solverClear communicator who partners directly with stakeholdersThrives in a fast-paced, swiftly-changing startup environmentPreferred: relevant certifications (Okta, Snowflake, Databricks, or cloud provider credentials)LocationSeattle, WA Amperity’s work model operates on four in-office days each week and one designated remote workday on Wednesdays. We value the collaboration, connection, and learning that come from working together in person.CompensationBase Salary: $124,000-$171,000. Individual compensation within this range will depend on several factors, including your skills, experience, education/training, geographic location and the level at which you join. We also consider internal equity, market conditions, and overall business needs.Cash Incentives: Cash incentives are also available.Stock Options: The opportunity for ownership is an exciting part of Amperity’s total compensation package.
