Expressive Therapist (FT 40hr)

Responsibilities Full Time 40hr/wk The Certified Therapeutic Recreation Specialist (CTRS) provides recreation therapy program oversight, including performance management and staff development of expressive therapy services. Responsible for assessing patients leisure and recreational activities, providing age and developmentally appropriate therapy groups and establishing behavioral treatment goals in a manner consistent with the philosophy and objectives of Cedar Ridge. Qualifications Bachelor's degree in related recreation therapy field required Certified Therapeutic Recreation Specialist (CTRS) certification required One (1) to Three (3) years of experience in recreation therapy field working with a mental health population preferred with working knowledge of group leadership skills, age specific growth and development, crisis and behavior management. Must be at least 21 years of age Successfully complete a drug test Successfully pass a national background check Physical agility to manage patients Ability to push, pull and lift up to 40 pounds.
