CUSTOMER SERVICE EXPECTATIONS
This position is expected to be proactive and attentively reactive to situations, inquiries, concerns and opportunities for growth of the Customer Safety Department. Successful service will allow members to focus on their business responsibilities and duties resulting in a more effective LVCVA operation. Ability to effectively present information and respond to questions from groups of managers, clients, customers and the general public.

BARGAINING BENEFITS
Total compensation at the Authority consists not only of the salary paid, but also of the various benefits offered, such as group health and life insurance and retirement plan. Depending on the type of insurance selected, adding these benefits increases an employee's total compensation from between 30 to 40 percent. NEVADA PERS RETIREMENT PROGRAM

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
- Maintains a neat and clean appearance in order to be approachable and to gain the confidence of guests and ambassadors.
- Maintains enhanced communications skills to be proficient at report writing and discussion. To communicate at different levels and understand resources when communication barriers present themselves with a focus toward de-escalation.
- Responds efficiently and effectively to various calls for service that involve the safety and security of people present and/or the LVCVA property.
- Responds physically to defend one's self or others in the immediate area when imminent harm presents itself, and performs strenuous first aid, fire, active assailant and various other emergency situations.
- Maintains knowledge of the Nevada Revised Statutes that relate to property operations including but not limited to assault, battery, burglary, disorderly conduct, theft and trespassing.
- Perform roving, fixed, foot, bike, cart and mobile patrols including electronic tours, space and equipment inspections and guest and Ambassador escorts to be pro-active and provide visibility to guests and Ambassadors.
- Maintains proficiency with firearms, first aid and in all necessary training courses and certifications necessary for the position and as directed by the Executive Director of Customer Safety.
- Performs additional duties as selected (Emergency Medical Technician, Range Instructor, Bike Officer, etc.) which could require out of state and classroom training lasting from one day to several weeks, and periodic recertification.
- Provides reasonable availability beyond scheduled hours for unforeseen or emergency matters.
- Performs other duties and projects as assigned.
- Graduation from high school or GED
- Prefer Associate's degree or equivalent from two-year college or technical school, or six months to one year related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience
- Minimum four years' full-time law enforcement or military experience or a combination of law enforcement, military experience and education, preferred
- Will be required to meet and maintain all department training requirements and certification
