JMT is currently ranked #45 on Engineering News-Record’s list of the Top 500 Design Firms.JMT is seeking a Project Engineer I to be responsible for supporting Construction Management services in the assigned region.Essential Functions and ResponsibilitiesMaintain excellent relationships with clients, designers, and contractorsActively manage project schedule from inception to close outParticipate in weekly progress meetings, create minutes, assign action items, and follow upUpload and manage all pertinent project informationDevelop and implement collaborative solutions to project issues and problemsPrepare project related change orders and obtain approvalsManage job work item turn over and close-out efficiently to meet owner/user expectationsAssist and coordinate with 3rd party engineering and special inspections requirementsCoordinate with various stakeholders involved in construction projectsNonessential Functions and ResponsibilitiesPerform other related duties as assignedRequired SkillsGood verbal and written communication skillsAbility to manage multiple tasks and jobs in an efficient mannerThe ability to work well with others, and willingness to learn in a team environmentAttention to detail and good organizational skillsAbility to read and understand construction drawings, plans, details, and specificationsA strong work ethic and a positive attitudeMicrosoft Office and construction management software systems fluencyActive driver’s license and reliable motor vehicle Must successfully complete and pass JMT's Motor Vehicle screeningRequired ExperienceBachelor’s degree in engineering, construction management, or a related field from an accredited engineering or construction management programMinimum of 10 +/- years of construction experienceExperience working with local agencies such as PRT, PennDOT, PA Turnpike, PGH2O, ALCOSAN, and ACAAPreferred ExperienceCertified Construction Manager (CCM)Registered Engineer in Training (EIT) or Professional Engineer (PE)Occupational Safety and Health Administration (OSHA) 10-hour construction safety trainingExperience with water and wastewater, rail and transit, and/or aviationNASSCO Certification including PACP, MACP, and LACPWorking ConditionsWork is performed within a general office, construction field office or on a construction project site environment. Work is generally sedentary in nature, but may require occasional standing, climbing and walking.
