Assistant Professor, Electrical & Microelectronic Engineering

Associate Professor – Electrical & Microelectronic Engineering RIT’s Department of Electrical and Microelectronic Engineering Technology invites applications from candidates specializing in digital electronics, analog electronics, biomedical electronics, quantum electronics, and neuromorphic computing. Candidates must hold a Ph.D. in Electrical Engineering, Computer Engineering, Microelectronic Engineering, or a closely related field. Applicants should have prior teaching experience, a record of refereed publications in one or more of the following areas: digital electronics, analog electronics, electronics for biomedical systems, devices & circuits based on emerging electronics materials, nanoelectronics and semiconductors, neuromorphic computing and artificial intelligence hardware, and quantum electronics. We seek individuals who demonstrate the ability and interest in teaching, conducting sponsored research, and collaborating internally and externally. Prior engagement in innovative teaching methodologies is highly desired. Qualifications Ph.D. in Electrical, Microelectronic, or Computer Engineering (or closely related field). Refereed publications in digital electronics, analog electronics, biomedical electronics, or related areas. Effective written and oral communication skills. Teaching assistant or teaching experience in electrical engineering related fields. Potential to establish and conduct sponsored research. Ability to collaborate within and beyond the department. Responsibilities Teach undergraduate and graduate courses in electrical and microelectronic engineering. Advise doctoral students and contribute to graduate education. Develop and maintain a research program aligned with departmental strengths. Collaborate with faculty across the college and external partners. Participate in departmental service and committee work. Compensation Annual salary range: $105,000 – $115,000. Other benefits and professional development opportunities are provided by RIT as part of the faculty package.
