Job Title: 5 Axis CNC Machinist/Operator Job Description

We are seeking skilled 5 Axis CNC Machinists/Operators to join our dynamic team with openings available on all shifts. You will be responsible for setting up and operating a variety of 3, 4, and 5 axis machines to produce precision parts with conformance to specifications. This role offers 2nd or 3rd shift opportunities, with hours for 2nd shift from Monday to Thursday, 4:15pm to 2:45am, and 3rd shift from Friday to Sunday, 4am to 4:30pm.

• Set up and operate 5 & 3 axis machines, cutters, and work holding tools to produce precision parts.
• Read and understand precision instruments to verify product conformance.
• Calculate dimensions or tolerances using instruments such as micrometers, calipers, and portable CMM or FARO.
• Align and secure holding fixtures, cutting tools, attachments, accessories, or materials onto machines per setup documentation.
• Measure, examine, or test completed parts to check for defects and ensure conformance using precision instruments.
• Monitor the feed and speed of machines during the machining process.
• Maintain machine tools in proper operational condition.
• Study sample parts, blueprints, drawings, or engineering information to determine product conformance.
• Operate equipment to verify operational efficiency.
• Diagnose machine tool malfunctions to determine need for adjustments or repairs.
• Consult with engineering, supervisory, or inspection personnel to verify technical information.
• Fit and assemble fixtures and cutters to make or repair customer products.
• Dispose of scrap or waste material in accordance with company policies and environmental regulations.
• Evaluate machining procedures and recommend changes for improved efficiency or adaptability.

• High school diploma or equivalent
• 1-2 years of experience with 3, 4, and 5 axis numerical control machines preferred
• Experience with Mazak, Haas Mill, Fanuc or Siemens Controls
• Proficiency with precision instruments like micrometers, calipers, and height gauges

This is a Permanent position based out of Wichita, KS.

The pay range for this position is $41600.00 - $52000.00/yr.

Individual compensation offered for this position within this range will depend on many factors, including qualifications, skills, relevant experience, job knowledge, geographic location, internal equity, and other pertinent job-related factors.
