Clinical Instructor of Ophthalmology (Fellow)-CHLA

Program Overview We are offering a 1‑2 year post‑residency fellowship in ocular oncology within the Department of Ophthalmology at the Keck School of Medicine and Children’s Hospital Los Angeles. The program is conducted under the guidance of Dr. Jesse L. Berry and Dr. Liya Xu, and the fellow will serve as a USC Clinical Instructor of Ophthalmology. Responsibilities Develop expertise in ocular oncology, including diagnosis and treatment of retinoblastoma, ocular melanoma, ocular squamous cell carcinoma, and other rare ocular malignancies. Participate in multidisciplinary diagnostic and therapeutic care coordination with the broader healthcare team. Engage in academic activities and clinical teaching as required of a USC Clinical Instructor. Qualifications MD or MD/PhD graduate who has completed an accredited residency in ophthalmology. Board certified or board eligible in ophthalmology. Current or eligible to obtain an unrestricted California medical license (UCLA may consider an unpaid observership for candidates who cannot.). Benefits Annual base salary ranging from $92,500 to $96,000. Full‑time commitment with location at USC Roski Eye Institute, Los Angeles General Medical Center, and Children’s Hospital Los Angeles. Stipend provided and academic title of USC Clinical Instructor during the fellowship.
