Duties and Responsibilities:

• At no time during the school day, on or off the school bus, use intoxicating beverages or take medication that may impair judgment or ability to drive a motor
• Be polite, courteous and understanding, but firm and fair with all bus passengers;
• Be sympathetic and patient toward parents who may at times become anxious in regard to the operation of the bus;
• Be respectful and courteous to school officials;
• Never strike any passenger;
• Notify the school administrator at his/her school immediately if for any reason it is not possible to drive;
• Notify the school administrator ten days in advance of leaving the school bus driving position;
• Transport students to and from school in a safe and timely manner;
• Conduct a maintenance and safety check of school bus prior to beginning a route and report problems to the school administrator and mechanic;
