Pines of Sarasota is currently seeking qualified candidates for the role of EnvironmentalServices Supervisor. The Environmental Services Supervisor is responsible in assisting the Director of Environmental Services in the planning, organizing, staffing and operations of the Department for all buildings on the Pines Campus. They are responsible for supervising a team of housekeepers, laundry workers and floor technicians and will report to the Director of Environmental Services. Duties and Responsibilities Assist the Director in developing short and long-range goals for maintenance and cleaning that are compatible with the mission and resources of the organization. Provides staff training and performance monitoring systems that ensure EVS personnel can demonstrate the ability to function appropriately in their positions. Supports and administers policies and procedures that support the organization’s hygiene and cleanliness objectives and philosophy. Provides supervision and evaluation of subordinate staff to assure proper delegation and follow-up of the organization’s performance standards. Assures that the buildings and equipment are properly maintained to accommodate resident comfort and convenience. Assists in managing the annual budget to allocate appropriate financial and other resources. Commits appropriate level of manpower to meet the needs of maintenance and cleaning tasks. Regularly inspects the campus facilities to assure that the buildings, grounds, and equipment are properly maintained and that all hazards are identified and remedied. The ideal Environmental Services Supervisor candidate will meet the following requirements: Must have a minimum of two years of supervisory experience in an environmental services position, preferably in a healthcare setting. Must be knowledgeable of cleaning chemicals, supplies and equipment typically used in an institutional setting. Must be knowledgeable of AHCA standards and rules. High school diploma or equivalent experience.
