Staff / Principal Platform Engineer

About the Role

Join the platform engineering team at a Series A AI infrastructure company, building and operating cloud systems that power consumer-facing AI products. You will take end-to-end ownership of reliable, secure infrastructure and help engineering teams ship and operate services effectively.

What You'll Do

• Design, deploy, and maintain reliable, high-performance cloud infrastructure for AI services.

• Own CI/CD pipelines and infrastructure deployments using Terraform, ArgoCD, GitHub Actions, and related tools.

• Work with engineers to deploy and evolve services across major cloud providers, including GCP, Azure, and Oracle Cloud.

• Build AI-enabled tooling and workflows that improve software development and deployment velocity.

• Establish tools and processes for monitoring service reliability, availability, and performance.

• Investigate incidents, identify root causes, and automate solutions to prevent recurrence.

• Operate and scale production Kubernetes clusters, including maintaining Kustomize manifests and Helm charts.

What We're Looking For

• At least 8 years of software or platform engineering experience, including 3 or more years working with infrastructure as code.

• Production ownership of Kubernetes clusters used as an internal platform, with hands-on Helm and Kustomize experience.

• Strong Terraform or Terragrunt experience, along with ArgoCD or equivalent GitOps and CI/CD tooling.

• Deep expertise with at least one major cloud provider, such as GCP, Azure, Oracle Cloud, or AWS.

• Experience building or operating AI/ML infrastructure or supporting real-time, low-latency workloads is a plus.

• A technical or STEM degree, or comparable technical foundations.

Compensation & Benefits

Base salary range: $280,000 to $350,000 annually. Visa sponsorship is available.
