Description Summary: Huntington’s internship programs provide emerging talent with meaningful, hands‑on experience aligned to their area of study. Over the course of the interns’ time at Huntington, they gain exposure to key business functions across all segments of the organization. An intern’s experience should be focused on professional growth, skill development, and practical application of academic learning. Interns participate in a structured series of development opportunities, including interactions with senior leadership and career pathing insights. Internship Opportunities at Huntington: Huntington offers internship opportunities for students who are currently enrolled in an academic program and seeking practical, hands‑on experience in their field of study. Internships take place during a defined period of time and are available across all business segments. Rising juniors (Winter 2028 or Spring 2029 grads) may participate in Huntington's Foundations Program, an 8-week, regionally focused experience where students partner directly with a manager and team, contribute to meaningful projects, build professional skills, and explore career opportunities across Huntington and the financial services industry. Rising seniors (Winter 2027 or Spring 2028 grads) may participate in the Enterprise Internship Program, an 11-week, role-aligned experience where students work directly with a manager and team on meaningful business initiatives. In addition to hands‑on project work, participants gain exposure to executive leadership, participate in Huntington's innovation project, and build connections that may lead to future full‑time opportunities. All interns participate in a variety of developmental and professional activities designed to support learning and exposure to the organization. Depending on your school year, program components may include: Experience in day‑to‑day responsibilities related to their assigned team Exposure to broader business functions A structured schedule of professional development sessions Opportunities to engage with members of the Executive Leadership Team Discussions with senior leaders regarding career paths and Huntington’s business areas A team project focused on applying Huntington’s innovation framework to a business‑relevant problem Participation in volunteer activities and internal events aligned with Huntington’s culture Human Resources Internship Overview Within the Human Resources Segment, interns gain exposure to a wide variety of areas within the business. Students partner directly with professionals within their area of focus to contribute to meaningful projects and initiatives while developing knowledge of specific Human Resources area of expertise. Opportunities for rising seniors are available within the Talent Acquisition, People Analytics, and HR Business Partner areas. Opportunities for a rising junior are available within the Talent Management space. Successful candidates are curious, collaborative, and interested in learning more about careers in Human Resources. Duties & Responsibilities: Collaborate directly with your manager Support organization and department initiatives Provide recommendations to improve your department Work both independently and within a team Exhibit a professional, business‑like demeanor Exhibit excellent oral and written communication skills Aptitude - proficiency with computer software, particularly the Microsoft Office Suite Take initiative to achieve personal career goals Participate in all HNB internship events Energy, enthusiasm, and passion for Huntington! Basic Qualifications: High School graduate Enrolled in an Undergraduate or Graduate accredited University with at least one quarter/semester of school after the completion of the summer program. Demonstrated teamwork and leadership through extracurricular activities and/or work experience Exceptional communication, interpersonal, and relationship building skills Ability to work independently or as part of a team Proficiency in Microsoft Office® applications Preferred Qualifications: Course(s) of study applicable to the area of business Ability to maintain professional composure in a dynamic work environment that often requires management and completion of multiple tasks Demonstrate sound judgment and ability to apply logical/critical thought processes when developing solutions Ability to display a positive business presence with management and external personnel A strong interest in Banking as a career Relevant Majors: Human Capital Management, Human Resources, Psychology, general business degrees. Data degrees in the People Analytics space. Preferred Skills & Interests: Interest in general human resources, talent, and people analytics. Compensation Range: $21.00 - $25.00 Hourly The compensation range represents the low and high end of the base compensation range for this position.
