Join our dynamic team in Morristown, NJ, where you will have the opportunity to work in a high-acuity Step-Down Unit (SDU) that requires ICU experience. Duties and Responsibilities Assessment Skills: Perform comprehensive and accurate assessments across all stages of growth and development from Pediatric to Geriatric, delivering appropriate patient care. Clinical Skills: Demonstrate competent clinical skills by performing direct patient care activities and supporting the patient care delivery and team concept. Documentation: Maintain complete and accurate documentation, assuming responsibility for documenting components of the nursing process and patient progress. Professionalism: Exhibit professional practice responsibility, understanding policies and procedures, and identifying areas for growth. Patient Satisfaction: Respond professionally and courteously to patients, families, and co-workers, ensuring patient and family-centered care. Safety: Adhere to National Patient Safety Goals, utilizing safe transfer techniques and proper body mechanics. Unit Specific Job Function: Demonstrate knowledge of surgical conditions, procedures, and equipment, individualizing patient care accordingly. Responsibility and Accountability: Contribute to the perioperative team by prioritizing patient care based on needs and condition changes. Patient Education and Chart Completion: Assess and educate patients and families on surgical procedures, performing pre-operative and postoperative assessments. Duties Specific to PAT RN: Support timely completion of patient testing and evaluate Pre Admission Testing (PAT) orders for appropriateness. Physical Requirements As defined by Occupational Safety/OMS. Required Skills And Certifications 1 year ICU experience RN License BLS Certification ACLS Certification Schedule
