Jira Cloud Application Architect

Proven hands-on experience architecting and deploying Jira Cloud applications using Atlassian Forge.

Strong proficiency in JavaScript (ES6+) and TypeScript.

Deep experience with React (Custom UI) or Forge UI Kit.

Strong understanding of Jira Cloud configuration including issue types, screens, field contexts, workflow schemes, and permissions.

Strong experience with Jira Cloud REST APIs and Forge platform capabilities.

Experience with Forge authentication, event handling, asynchronous processing, and scalable API design.

Ability to design, implement, test, and maintain reusable and high-performing code solutions.

Strong troubleshooting and problem-solving skills.

Excellent communication and collaboration abilities.

Designing and developing Jira Cloud applications using the Atlassian Forge framework.

Implementing Forge modules, including Custom UI components, Global Pages, Gadgets, Panels, Custom Fields, Validators, and Workflow Extensions.

Working with Forge Storage, Custom Fetch, Web Triggers, Resolvers, Queues, and Event-Driven Functions.

Integrating Jira Cloud with external SaaS platforms and internal systems using REST APIs.

Implementing custom business logic, workflow rules, and validation mechanisms.

Providing technical support, performance tuning, and troubleshooting for Jira Cloud applications.

Documenting technical designs, deployment procedures, and testing plans.

CI/CD pipelines, Git version control, and modern deployment practices preferred.

Experience with Groovy/ScriptRunner or Power Scripts/SIL in Jira Server/Data Center environments is a plus.

Familiarity with Jira Expressions and SQL is preferred.

Design, develop, and maintain secure and scalable Jira Cloud applications using Atlassian Forge.

Architect and implement native Forge modules and workflow customizations.

Develop React-based Custom UI and Forge UI Kit applications.

Build integrations between Jira Cloud and external platforms using REST APIs.

Develop and maintain custom business logic, validation rules, and workflow extensions.

Utilize Forge platform services such as Storage, Web Triggers, Queues, and Event-Driven Functions for asynchronous processing.

Apply secure coding standards and API design best practices.

Troubleshoot, optimize, and support Jira Cloud applications and integrations.

Collaborate with Product Owners, Business Analysts, and technical teams to define and implement solutions.

Prepare technical documentation, deployment procedures, and testing plans.

Support platform enhancements, upgrades, and continuous improvement initiatives.
