Head of Advocacy & Market Development, COPD

AstraZeneca

AstraZeneca seeks a Head of Advocacy & Market Development to lead global strategy and execution for a COPD asset launch. The role combines advocacy leadership with market development initiatives focused on healthcare system transformation and improving patient outcomes across respiratory disease.

Responsibilities

Develop and execute global advocacy strategy and operational plans for IL-33 pathway science
Build and maintain partnerships with external experts and clinical advisory councils in respiratory disease
Define and drive long-term market development vision and healthcare system change initiatives
Lead cross-functional teams to execute market shaping tactics focused on patient identification and care optimization
Collaborate with medical, policy, market access and local teams to align strategy and ensure execution

Requirements

Bachelor's degree in scientific or healthcare-related field
Minimum 10 years healthcare or biopharmaceutical industry experience
Demonstrated experience in respiratory, immunology, or related therapeutic areas
Proven ability to engage and influence external stakeholders and key opinion leaders
Track record in global and/or local commercial leadership roles
Strong stakeholder management and cross-functional leadership capabilities
Experience successfully executing product launches with advocacy and market shaping components
