The Division of Plastic and Reconstructive Surgery within the Department of Surgery is looking for a Plastic and Reconstructive Surgeon to enhance its expanding academic program. The ideal candidate will possess extensive training in plastic and reconstructive surgery and demonstrate a keen interest in pursuing a career within a collaborative, academic setting.

We seek a candidate with clinical proficiency across various aspects of plastic and reconstructive surgery, particularly in complex reconstruction, microsurgery, and the care of patients needing advanced reconstructive interventions. Applicants with backgrounds in breast reconstruction, head and neck reconstruction, limb salvage, trauma reconstruction, hand surgery, craniofacial surgery, or other reconstructive specialties are highly encouraged to apply. Expertise in microsurgery is particularly valued, and specialized experience in breast reconstruction or gender-affirming surgeries would be an added advantage.

Minimum Qualifications for Candidates

• MD, DO, or an equivalent international degree.

• Board Certification or Board Eligibility from the American Board of Plastic Surgery.

• Completion of an accredited training program in Plastic and Reconstructive Surgery.

• Qualifications that support a faculty appointment at least at the level of Assistant Professor.

• Eligibility for unrestricted medical licensure in Pennsylvania.
