Process Engineer - Precision Machining

TekPro is partnered with a leading precision component manufacturer to hire a Process Engineer who is eager to develop their manufacturing expertise in a hands-on machining environment. This role offers the opportunity to work alongside engineers and production teams to support new product launches, improve manufacturing processes, and drive quality and efficiency initiatives across the shop floor. It's an excellent opportunity for an early career engineer looking to build a strong foundation in precision manufacturing and continuous improvement.

What You’ll Be Doing

• Develop and implement efficient manufacturing processes for new and existing components
• Review customer prints, specifications, and requirements to determine optimal production methods
• Build and maintain BOMs, routings, and item data within the ERP system
• Design and improve tooling, fixtures, and workholding solutions to support production and quality goals
• Collaborate with production teams to troubleshoot machining challenges and improve process flow
• Support estimating efforts by evaluating prints, tolerances, and process considerations
• Maintain process documentation, including work instructions and process drawings

What We’re Looking For

• Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering or equivalent hands-on experience in manufacturing process engineering
• 1-2+ years in CNC machining, fabrication, or similar precision manufacturing environment
• Experience with CAD/CAM software such as Mastercam, NX (Unigraphics), SolidWorks, or similar
• Ability to interpret detailed engineering drawings and apply GD&T principles
• Experience designing fixturing and selecting tooling for complex parts
• Problem-solving skills related to machining strategy, tooling, and workholding
• Ability to sequence operations to balance quality, efficiency, and cost
• Comfortable working cross-functionally with production, quality, customers, and suppliers
