Position Overview
We are seeking a hands-on, fast-learning, and compassionate Registered Veterinary Technician to join our team on a part-time basis. The ideal candidate will be comfortable working in surgery, performing lab equipment maintenance, and supporting our doctor in delivering exceptional patient care.
Key Responsibilities
- Assist the veterinarian during surgical procedures and other medical treatments
- Perform routine lab equipment maintenance and troubleshooting
- Provide compassionate patient care using fear-free handling techniques
- Prepare and monitor patients for surgery and other procedures
- Collect and process laboratory samples accurately and efficiently
- Maintain a clean, organized, and safe work environment
- Communicate effectively with clients and team members
Qualifications
- Current Registered Veterinary Technician (RVT) certification
- Ability and willingness to work hands-on in surgery
- Familiarity with lab equipment maintenance and willingness to perform routine upkeep
- Fast learner with strong attention to detail
- Compassionate approach to patient care, aligned with fear-free principles
- Excellent communication and teamwork skills
