Yoder’s Components is looking for an experienced, driven Outside Truss Sales Representative to join our growing team. This position is responsible for developing new business, and helping builders and contractors find dependable solutions for their structural component needs.

We are looking for someone who understands that great sales is more than getting an order. It is about building long-term relationships, communicating clearly, following through on commitments, and becoming a trusted partner to our customers.

What You'll Do:

· Develop and grow relationships with homebuilders, contractors, lumber dealers, developers, and other construction professionals.

· Prospect for new customers and identify opportunities to expand Yoder’s Components within the market.

· Sell roof trusses, floor trusses, and related structural building components.

· Work closely with estimating, design, scheduling, production, and delivery teams from initial quote through final delivery.

· Gather complete and accurate project information to ensure timely quoting and design.

· Maintain consistent communication with customers regarding quotes, project status, schedules, revisions, and upcoming opportunities.

· Conduct regular jobsite and customer visits.

· Develop a strong understanding of each customer’s business, upcoming projects, and future needs.

· Maintain an active sales pipeline and provide visibility into opportunities and expected business.

· Help resolve customer concerns quickly and professionally.

· Represent Yoder’s Components with professionalism, integrity, and a customer-first mindset.

· Take ownership of opportunities from initial contact through completion.

What We're Looking For: 

· Outside sales experience in roof/floor trusses, structural components, lumber, building materials, or residential construction strongly preferred.

· Established relationships within the building industry are a plus.

· Working knowledge of residential construction and the building process.

· Ability to read and understand construction plans is preferred.

· Strong relationship-building, communication, and follow-up skills.

· Self-motivated and capable of managing a sales territory with limited supervision.

· Organized and able to manage multiple projects and customers simultaneously.

· Comfortable working closely with operations and understanding production capacity and lead times.

· Willingness to spend significant time in the field meeting customers and visiting jobsites.

· Valid driver’s license and acceptable driving record.
