Dietary Manager

Position Summary We are seeking an experienced and organized Dietary Manager to oversee the daily operations of our dietary department in our assisted living community. This role is responsible for ensuring high-quality meal service, compliance with all food safety regulations, and meeting the nutritional needs of our residents. Key Responsibilities Oversee daily operations of the dietary department, including meal preparation, service, and sanitation Plan and implement menus that meet residents’ nutritional needs and dietary restrictions Ensure compliance with all local, state, and federal food safety and sanitation regulations Supervise, schedule, and train dietary staff (cooks, aides, etc.) Monitor food quality, portion control, and presentation Manage inventory, ordering, and food cost control Collaborate with nursing and administration to address residents’ dietary needs and preferences Conduct routine kitchen inspections and maintain cleanliness standards Maintain accurate documentation and dietary records as required Qualifications High school diploma or equivalent required; associate’s degree in nutrition, food service management, or related field preferred Previous experience in dietary services, with supervisory experience required Experience in assisted living, long-term care, or healthcare setting preferred Food Protection Manager certification (ServSafe or equivalent) required or willingness to obtain Knowledge of special diets (diabetic, low sodium, texture-modified, etc.) Strong leadership, organization, and communication skills Skills & Attributes Compassionate and resident-centered approach Strong leadership and team management skills Attention to detail and commitment to quality Ability to multitask and manage a fast-paced environment Problem-solving and decision-making abilities What We Offer Competitive pay Supportive leadership team Opportunities for professional growth and advancement Meaningful work serving our senior community #J-18808-Ljbffr
