Platform Engineer
Full-time
Creospan Inc.
We are looking for a strong Software Engineer with deep experience building and operating scalable web platforms and shared frontend infrastructure.
What You'll Do
- Build, enhance, and operate shared web and content platform capabilities used across multiple product and business teams.
- Own integrations between the CMS/content layer and frontend applications, edge delivery, APIs, digital asset management, CDP/customer segments, and personalization platforms.
- Develop reusable platform services, APIs, SDKs, components, and orchestration capabilities.
- Establish content models, standards, governance, publishing patterns, and engineering best practices.
- Improve self-service capabilities so Marketing and Merchandising teams can safely publish experiences with limited engineering dependency.
- Optimize delivery performance, including caching strategies, segment-aware caching, application latency, and Core Web Vitals.
- Design highly available and resilient platform services with appropriate monitoring, observability, and operational controls.
- Partner with Product, Marketing, Merchandising, Growth, and engineering teams to drive adoption of platform capabilities.
- Help define platform architecture and technical roadmap as usage grows across the organization.
Key Technical Experience
- Strong software engineering background with experience building production-scale web applications or platforms.
- Strong experience with modern frontend technologies such as React, Next.js, TypeScript, JavaScript, or similar frameworks.
- Experience with web platform architecture, APIs, distributed systems, and integration patterns.
- Experience with CDN/edge delivery, caching, performance optimization, and web performance metrics.
- Understanding of headless CMS or composable/DXP architectures.
- Experience integrating CMS platforms with frontend applications and downstream enterprise systems.
- Knowledge of observability, monitoring, reliability, and platform health metrics.
- Experience designing platforms or shared services consumed by multiple engineering/product teams.
- Cloud engineering experience in AWS, GCP, or Azure.
