Civil Engineer - Site Development

The Opportunity In this role, you will have the opportunity to: Focus on the delivery of civil site development projects and will assist in the design, construction, and project management of a wide variety of projects involving grading design, stormwater design, erosion control design, culvert design, and pavement design, etc. Have hands‑on involvement in the permitting process. Have significant interaction with multidisciplinary internal teams and external clients. Key Responsibilities Perform design of projects from the conceptual and bid phase through design completion for project needs and requirements that are set by the project managers based off client needs. Assist the Engineering Manager in maintaining project schedules and budgets. Under the direction of the Engineering Manager, interface directly with the client or sub‑consultants. Support business development through writing of technical approaches, scopes of work, and presentation to clients. Maintain effective communication with other engineering disciplines and the project team. Preferred Qualifications Experience working with the 2024 Stormwater Management Manual for Western Washington. Proven experience on Puget Sound Energy projects, specifically performing site development. Licensed Professional Engineer (PE) in Washington State. Minimum Qualifications Bachelor's degree in engineering from an accredited program in the home country, country of practice, or equivalent engineering experience. Minimum of 5 years of related work experience. All applicants must be able to complete pre‑employment onboarding requirements (if selected) which may include criminal/civil background check, drug screen, and motor vehicle records search, in compliance with any applicable laws and regulations. Holds an active engineering registration or licensure to support engineer of record (EOR) requirements for BV projects in applicable countries. Work Environment / Physical Demands Hybrid or flexible work options may be offered after the first 90 days of employment based upon manager discretion, job performance and work assignments. Typical office/home office environment. Physical demands include sitting, talking, grasping, hearing, keyboard input, driving, seeing, writing, reaching, stooping, crouching, walking, standing for extended periods of time. May require travel to local and regional client sites.
