Why does the job exist?

Under close supervision, performs a variety of basic office and field technical engineering tasks related to construction plan
review, construction inspecting, field laboratory material testing and assisting the public.


How does it get done?

Gather basic data, perform basic data entry into existing data base, and basic customer interaction primarily in the field. Perform
basic field inspections including field sampling and material testing as needed.


Who are the customers?

Construction project personnel and traveling public to ensure roads are safe for travel.


Ideal Candidate

Some experience with field testing: Microsoft Word and Excel; and field inspections and documentation.


Minimum Qualification

High School Diploma or equivalent.


Employment Requirements

Successful completion of pre employment physical. Must be able to obtain TTCP certifications. Must maintain a valid Driver's License.


Working Conditions

Work is performed in an office and/or field in varying weather conditions. Must be able to lift up to 50 lbs.
