We are looking for an experienced and motivated General Manager to oversee the day-to-day operations of our restaurant. The General Manager is responsible for leading the management and staff, maintaining high standards of service and hospitality, controlling labor and operating costs, and ensuring the restaurant operates efficiently and profitably.

The ideal candidate is a hands-on leader who can hold people accountable, develop a strong team, and create a positive experience for both guests and employees.

Job Summary

We are looking for an experienced and motivated General Manager to oversee the day-to-day operations of our restaurant. The General Manager is responsible for leading the management and staff, maintaining high standards of service and hospitality, controlling labor and operating costs, and ensuring the restaurant operates efficiently and profitably.

The ideal candidate is a hands-on leader who can hold people accountable, develop a strong team, and create a positive experience for both guests and employees.

Key Responsibilities

• Oversee all daily restaurant operations, including front-of-house, back-of-house, and bar operations.
• Lead, coach, train, and develop management and hourly employees.
• Create and manage staff schedules while maintaining appropriate staffing and labor costs.
• Maintain high standards for guest service, food quality, cleanliness, and overall restaurant presentation.
• Monitor labor, sales, food costs, beverage costs, and other operating expenses.
• Assist with inventory management, ordering, receiving, and waste control.
• Ensure compliance with company policies, health and safety regulations, and applicable alcohol service laws.
• Address guest concerns and employee issues professionally and promptly.
• Conduct employee performance coaching and disciplinary action when necessary.
• Ensure proper opening, closing, cash-handling, and security procedures are followed.
• Work closely with the management team to achieve sales, service, labor, and profitability goals.
• Maintain a professional, respectful, and accountable work environment.
• Lead by example and remain actively involved in restaurant operations.
• Identify operational issues and take initiative to resolve them.
• Communicate effectively with ownership and the management team regarding staffing, performance, sales, and operational concerns.

Qualifications

• Previous restaurant management experience required; General Manager experience preferred.
• Strong leadership and communication skills.
• Ability to effectively manage and motivate a diverse team.
• Strong understanding of restaurant operations, labor management, and cost control.
• Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and handle multiple priorities.
• Strong problem-solving and decision-making skills.
• Must be dependable, professional, and willing to lead from the front.
• Ability to work flexible hours, including evenings, weekends, and holidays as needed.
