This position coordinates maintenance team activities, prioritizes repairs, supports preventative maintenance programs, and assists with troubleshooting mechanical and electrical systems to minimize downtime and maximize production efficiency. Leadership & Team Coordination Assign and prioritize daily maintenance work orders and repair activities Provide technical guidance and support to maintenance technicians Monitor work completion and ensure repairs are documented accurately Coordinate emergency breakdown response efforts Communicate equipment status and repair priorities with production leadership Support training and development of maintenance personnel Promote a safe and organized work environment Essential Lead Job Functions Mechanical, Electrical & Preventative Maintenance Responsibilities Troubleshoot, diagnose, and repair corrugators, converting equipment, conveyors, glue systems, pumps, motors, and other production machinery Identify and repair air, water, glue, oil, steam, vacuum, pneumatic, and hydraulic system leaks Troubleshoot and repair pumps, pump systems, cylinders, and related mechanical components Install, replace, maintain, and align: Bearings Bushings Locking collars Chains and sprockets Belts and pulleys Rollers and shafts Gearboxes Tensioners and related drive components Perform precision alignment, squaring, tensioning, and tolerance adjustments on equipment and machinery Disassemble, rebuild, and reassemble production equipment, racking systems, and machinery components Fabricate, modify, and repair damaged parts and equipment using welding, cutting, grinding, machining, fastening, and other repair techniques Assist with equipment installations, rebuilds, roll changes, shutdowns, and major repair projects Lead rigging and setup activities for large repairs and equipment changeovers Read and interpret blueprints, schematics, mechanical drawings, and equipment manuals Analyze machine performance and operating conditions to diagnose failures and determine effective corrective actions Electrical & Controls Support Perform basic industrial electrical troubleshooting and repairs Assist with troubleshooting: Motors Sensors VFDs (Variable Frequency Drives) PLC-controlled equipment Drive systems and electrical controls Support maintenance and troubleshooting of electrical panels and control systems Work with outside vendors, contractors, and service technicians as needed Preventative & Predictive Maintenance Support and enforce preventative and predictive maintenance programs Complete and document preventative maintenance tasks according to schedule Assist with identifying opportunities to improve equipment reliability, efficiency, and uptime Maintain accurate maintenance records, repair history, labor tracking, and parts usage documentation Assist in minimizing downtime through proactive maintenance and continuous improvement efforts Other Functions & Employee Expectations Support continuous improvement efforts by following maintenance experience in a manufacturing environment Strong industrial mechanical and electrical troubleshooting and repair experience Ability to read and interpret schematics, blueprints, and technical drawings Strong industrial troubleshooting and problem‑solving skills Effective verbal and written communication skills with the ability to communicate effectively with contractors, service technicians, and team members Working knowledge of industrial facility systems, including structural, electrical, and plumbing systems Ability to work independently with minimal supervision Ability to work overtime, weekends, and additional hours as needed to support business operations Ability to safely work at heights, climb ladders, and operate in confined spaces as required High School Diploma or GED Must be authorized to work in the U.S. Must be at least 18 years of age Must pass pre‑employment background check and drug screen Demonstration of minimum proficiency with the English language in order to ensure effective new hire training and ongoing communications about safety and quality issues Preferred 10+ years of industrial electrical and/or mechanical maintenance experience Technical certification in industrial maintenance, mechanical systems, electrical systems, or related field Previous leadership or supervisory experience Valid driver’s license Experience with: Allen Bradley software and controls Indramat drives and software Profibus systems and drives Mitsubishi drives and software Proficiency with Microsoft office Suite (Excel, Word, Outlook, PowerPoint and Microsoft Teams) Previous experience in a corrugated manufacturing or industrial production environment Machines/Tools/Equipment Corrugated Manufacturing Equipment Corrugators (single‑face, Working Conditions Work is performed in a manufacturing environment working around machinery, moving equipment, and loud noise, where hearing protection is required. The environment is not climate controlled, with exposure to temperatures ranging from 50°F to 100°F. Position requires working in both indoor and outdoor environments, including exposure to all weather conditions such as heat, cold, rain, and snow. May be exposed to dust, paper fibers, and other airborne particulates associated with corrugated manufacturing operations. Work areas include moving mechanical equipment, forklifts, conveyors, and automated production lines, requiring strict adherence to all safety procedures. Duties may include working in elevated areas, confined spaces, and around energized equipment, following established safety protocols (e.g., LOTO). Requires frequent standing, walking, bending, and climbing throughout the shift. Occasional lifting of materials or equipment up to 75 lbs. is required. A portion of the work may be performed in an office environment, including time spent on the computer or phone as needed for documentation, reporting, and communication. Shift work, overtime, and weekends may be required to support production demands and minimize downtime. Must comply with all company safety policies, OSHA regulations, and required personal protective equipment (PPE) at all times. Fast‑paced environment with frequent changes in priorities based on operational and maintenance needs.
