Responsibilities

The Operating Room Registered Nurse (RN) is responsible for providing safe, patient-centered perioperative care by assessing, planning, implementing, and evaluating care throughout the surgical process while working closely with the interdisciplinary team.

• Administer perioperative nursing care before, during, and after surgical procedures.
• Collaborate with surgeons, anesthesia providers, and the surgical team to ensure the best patient outcomes.
• Monitor patient conditions, administer medications, and respond to any clinical changes.
• Maintain a safe and sterile environment while ensuring compliance with regulations.
• Oversee and assist OR Technicians and support staff.
• Engage in quality improvement initiatives, staff education, and unit projects.
• Facilitate efficient patient flow, accurate documentation, and high-quality care.
• Perform additional duties as assigned.

Qualifications

Education, Experience, and Training:

• Current and valid state RN License.
• Current BLS (AHA) certification upon hire and maintain it.
• Current ACLS (AHA) certification within 30 days of hire and maintain it.
• Current PALS (AHA) certification within 30 days of hire and maintain it.
• At least one year of prior Perioperative experience or on-the-job training.
• Certified Nurse Operating Room (CNOR) certification (AORN) is preferred.
• Bachelor of Science in Nursing (BSN) is preferred.

The estimated compensation for this role, including wages, benefits, and other forms of compensation, ranges from $36.00 to $49.16 per hour. The specific starting salary will be determined at the time of hiring, taking into account various factors such as skills, years of relevant experience, education, credentials, and licensure.
