Pediatric Feeding Speech Language Pathologist in Central and East Dallas

Part Time Pediatric Feeding Speech Language Pathologist (SLP) – Central & East Dallas We are looking for a qualified Speech Language Pathologist to assess and treat pediatric patients with feeding and speech/language issues on a part‑time basis. The role focuses on evidence‑based clinical practice, documentation, and family education, with flexibility and no mandatory caseload or after‑school requirements. Responsibilities Perform clinical assessment and identify patient needs. Document, prepare, and complete patient Plan of Care. Track progress and revise as needed. Meet mandatory continuing education requirements. Apply infection control and universal precautions when coordinating and performing patient care to prevent contamination and transmission of disease. Provide appropriate plan, treatment, and evaluation for speech, language, cognitive, and swallowing disorders, using appropriate tests and measurements. Maintain pertinent records of specific tests performed and progress made. Communicate and educate families concerning patient deficits, ways to facilitate treatment, and appropriate discharge plans. Promote company mission and administrative policies to ensure the quality of care. Requirements Current Texas State license as a Speech Language Pathologist. Current Texas driver’s license and reliable transportation. One year of experience as an SLP in an acute care or rehabilitation setting; pediatric experience required. Effective interpersonal, communication, organizational, and time‑management skills. Knowledge of durable medical equipment. Ability to work in patients’ homes in various conditions. Proficiency in Microsoft Office. Ability to maintain a high level of confidentiality. Proof of current CPR certification. Physical ability to lift, bend, pull, push, stand, and walk for prolonged periods. Ability to work under stressful conditions to meet deadlines and individualized psychosocial needs of patients and families.
