Job DescriptionRegional Grain Manager - Frankfort, INThis is an exempt level position.As the general business manager for the area, candidate will direct the profitability of our business and manage the regional facilities in a manner consistent with good business practices of the company. Manage the merchandising, logistics and coordinate trading with the Central Indiana merchandising team. Develop and support employees to achieve personal, regional, and corporate goals.Major Duties and Responsibilities:Manage the regional assets and profitabilityDevelop and implement long term asset strategy within the regionManage staffManage and trade basis, barge freight and futures spread positionsManage quality control/discount scales for the regionManage all corporate required policiesSafety leadership and protocolEthical practicesEnvironmentalSarbanes Oxley audit itemsAccounting- best practices guidelinesProvide leadership to location managers and location Operations Supt.Manage merchandising and logistics for region to enhance trading marginsManage origination of SRW for ADM Beech Grove MillDirect procurement via leadership of merchandiser staff and active participation within the processCoordinate with Regional Operations Supt. On facility managementDevelop technology use in the region for locations and producersSupport origination leadership, strategies, and programs for the Central IN regionOversee general office functions for each location, driving efficiency among regional locationsReporting manager for settlement activities within the regionRequirements:Qualified candidate should have a B.A. or B.S. degree along with a minimum of 5 to 10 years’ experience in such roles as elevator management, trading grain and/or feed products and booking truck, rail and barge freight. Proficiency in Microsoft Office programs (Word, Excel, Power Point and Outlook) required. Able to hear and speak clearly; read, comprehend and communicate, orally and in writing in order to effectively communicate in person or by phone. Proven experience of working successfully in a fast paced commodity trading environmentMust be able to prioritize tasks in the interest of marketing concepts, maximizing profit potential, exercise sound decision making, and be a self-starter.Proven record of building customer relationships.Some travel is required with this position.Internal IBM and VAX systems knowledge is a plus.Excited about this role but don’t think you meet every requirement listed? REF:114103BRBase pay offered may vary depending on multiple individualized factors, including market location, job-related knowledge, skills, and experience. Hourly and salaried non-exempt employees will also be paid overtime pay when working qualifying overtime hours. If hired, employees will be in an “at-will position” and the Company reserves the right to modify base pay (as well as any other discretionary payment or compensation program) at any time, including for reasons related to individual performance, Company or individual department/team performance, and market factors.
