Our organization is in search of a committed BC/BE Psychiatrist who prioritizes exceptional patient care to become a part of our empathetic team within the Senior Behavioral Health Unit (SBHU). This unit features 20 inpatient beds dedicated to older adults seeking behavioral health services that necessitate a brief hospital stay.

The SBHU aims to educate both patients and their families, equipping them with the tools to manage their conditions effectively, support ongoing recovery, and establish healthier coping mechanisms along with a secure follow-up plan for care after discharge.

Join our team at the Senior Behavioral Health Unit and contribute to a collaborative environment in a community hospital located in the scenic area of Chestnut Hill! This attractive setting provides a nurturing practice atmosphere, bolstered by the exceptional resources of a prestigious Academic Medical Center.

• Deliver treatment and care for patients experiencing a range of conditions, including depression, psychosis, bipolar disorder, and anxiety.
• Standard work schedule: Monday to Friday, 9:00 AM – 5:00 PM, with weeknight phone calls and weekend on-call duties from Friday to Monday on a rotating basis.
• Handle an average of 3-5 inpatient consults daily within the 20-bed unit, shared among the team.
• Collaborate with a multidisciplinary team comprising skilled Psychiatrists, Psychiatric Nurse Practitioners, Social Workers, RNs, Therapists, and Behavioral Health Technicians.

• MD, DO, or an equivalent foreign degree.
• Board eligibility or certification from the American Board of Psychiatry and Neurology.
• Capability to secure an unrestricted medical license and DEA registration from the Commonwealth of Pennsylvania prior to starting employment.
