Chart Industries is looking for an experienced Rotating Equipment Engineer for our office in The Woodlands, TX. We are open to a hybrid schedule for this role. The successful candidate will be responsible for design, specification and services related to the rotating equipment and related equipment packages and auxiliary systems for integration into industrial process plant designs. This person must work well within a small team environment while preparing information deliverables for customers, Business Development Group, and the other Engineering Discipline Group.What Will You Do?Interface with sales, estimating, and proposal group for equipment selection and pricing on initial project estimatesSelect, size, and determine costs for gas & steam turbines, compressors, expanders, pumps and motors to meet process design performance requirementsPrepare datasheets, specifications and requests for quotationReview and evaluate supplier proposals and prepare bid tabulationsReview supplier documentation for compliance to specificationsUpdate plant design documentation to integrate equipment design into facility designProvide assistance on project related issuesConduct design reviews and fabrication inspectionsAssist with P&ID, 3-D piping model, and HAZOP reviewsWitness and evaluate performance testsProvide field assistance for mechanical completion, commissioning, startup and operations as requiredInvestigate and resolve field problems with rotating equipmentAbility to travel 25% or more, based on project needYour Experience Should Be...Bachelors or Masters Degree in Mechanical Engineering or EquivalentPE License preferableMinimum of 10 year of industry experienceThorough understanding of industry codes and standards including: API, ANSI, ASME, ASTM, IEC, NEC, NACE, and NFPA 59AKnowledge of fluid dynamics, principles of turbo-machinery, and materials of constructionUnderstanding of sealing and lubrication systemsFamiliarity of instrumentation and controls related to rotating equipmentExperience with skid structural design and equipment support and packaging related to rotating equipmentAbility to perform calculations and use sizing programs for rotating equipmentSound organizational skills for completing tasks as scheduledStrong communication skills both verbal and written for the purpose of explaining challenges and solutions internallyGood interpersonal skills to successfully interface other engineering disciplines and customersOur Benefits Package...Medical, dental and vision insuranceEmployer contributions to an HSA accountHealth Care and Dependent Care Flexible Spending Accounts (FSA)Company-paid short-term and long-term disability coverageBasic life insurance with the option to purchase supplemental individual, spouse and dependent child coverageUp to two weeks of paid family leave401k retirement savings plan including a company match
