Atrium Health Mental and Behavioral Healthcare is seeking a dedicated and experienced Licensed Mental Health Therapist to join our remote telehealth team in Santa Rosa, California. This full-time position is focused on supporting patients in their journey to recovery from substance use disorders. Work Environment\nThis position is fully remote, allowing for flexible work hours while utilizing a telehealth platform to connect with patients. As our care model increasingly integrates virtual support, you will engage with patients across various settings, empowering them to achieve recovery from the comfort of their own homes. While the core schedule is Monday to Friday from 8:00 AM to 4:00 PM, some evening shifts may be required to accommodate patient needs.
Key Responsibilities\n- \n
- Conduct thorough assessments of patients seeking treatment for substance use disorders, which may include evaluating their mental health status and identifying specific needs and goals. \n
- Develop and implement individualized treatment plans that are informed by evidence-based therapeutic modalities such as motivational interviewing and cognitive-behavioral therapy. \n
- Facilitate both individual and group therapy sessions, providing a safe and supportive space where patients can share their experiences and learn from each other. \n
- Collaborate closely with psychiatrists, addiction specialists, and other healthcare professionals to ensure that patients receive comprehensive and coordinated care. \n
- Provide crisis intervention and immediate support for patients experiencing substance-related emergencies, ensuring they receive timely assistance. \n
- Offer education and resources to patients and their families about addiction, recovery strategies, and available community services. \n
- Maintain accurate and up-to-date patient records in compliance with legal, ethical, and organizational standards. \n
- Engage in regular team meetings and case consultations to discuss treatment progress and collaboratively enhance care delivery. \n
- Continuously stay informed of advancements in substance use disorder treatment and integrate new knowledge into practice. \n
Your work will primarily focus on individuals battling substance use disorders, including those with co-occurring mental health conditions. You will engage with a diverse range of clients, each bringing their unique histories and challenges. Qualifications\n- \n
- A completed Master's or Doctoral degree in Social Work, Marriage and Family Therapy, Mental Health Counseling, or Psychology from an accredited institution. \n
- Current and valid licensure as an LCSW, LPCC, LMFT, or Psychologist in the state of California. \n
- In-depth knowledge of substance use disorders, including evidence-based therapies and recovery-oriented practices. \n
- Demonstrated experience in delivering both individual and group therapy within addiction treatment settings. \n
- Strong interpersonal and communication abilities, characterized by a non-judgmental and empathetic approach to client interactions. \n
- Expertise in maintaining professional boundaries and adhering to ethical guidelines while ensuring patient confidentiality. \n
- Familiarity with electronic health record (EHR) systems to facilitate timely documentation and communication. \n
- Ability to work effectively within a multidisciplinary team focused on integrated care solutions. \n

- A minimum of 2-3 years of experience working in the field of mental health and addiction is preferred. \n
- Experience with telehealth modalities and virtual client engagement strategies is a strong advantage. \n
- Background in developing community outreach initiatives focused on substance use awareness and education. \n
