HR Generalist

HR Generalist (Part-time) We are seeking an experienced and dependable HR professional to join our team in a part-time capacity. This role is ideal for someone who enjoys supporting both employees and managers, keeping organizations compliant, and handling a variety of HR and administrative responsibilities. The ideal candidate is hands-on, detail-oriented, approachable, and comfortable working independently while serving as a trusted resource for both staff and leadership. Key Responsibilities Support employee onboarding and offboarding processes Maintain HR systems, records, and digital + physical employee files Update and maintain employee handbook, policies, and HR documentation Process and manage payroll accurately and on time, including pay rate changes, deductions, and reimbursements Help ensure compliance with federal, state, and local employment laws in Minnesota and Wisconsin Serve as a point of contact for employee questions regarding policies, payroll, benefits, and HR procedures, including remote support for Wisconsin-based staff Partner with managers on employee relations matters, policy interpretation, and people processes Assist in consistent enforcement and communication of company policies Coordinate with benefits broker on enrollments, changes, renewals, and employee benefit questions Support audits, reporting, and other administrative HR tasks as needed Qualifications Prior Human Resources experience required (3+ years preferred) Experience processing payroll required Strong understanding of HR compliance and employment practices; experience with union relations a plus Experience with onboarding, offboarding, benefits administration, and employee support Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail Strong judgment, discretion, and ability to handle confidential information Comfortable working independently and managing multiple priorities HRIS/payroll system experience preferred; Paycor experience a plus Strong written communication skills; Gmail and Slack experience a plus Schedule & Work Style Approximately 15-20 hours per week Preferred schedule is 4–5 days per week for consistent availability and employee support; open to discussing weekly schedule with the right candidate Flexible daily hours depending on candidate availability and business needs Compensation: $32-35/hour Location: On-site at Indeed Brewing offices at 806 14th Ave NE, supporting two locations in Minneapolis, MN and Milwaukee, WI Reports To: Chief Operating Officer #J-18808-Ljbffr Indeed Brewing Company
