Project Engineer Intern

This is a great opportunity to gain hands-on experience in specialty subcontracting, support project managers and learn how to deliver projects with quality, safety, and efficiency.

Responsibilities:

* Contract document management: including, but not limited to updating contract drawings and specifications, RFI and change management (i.e., ASIs, Bulletins, RFQs) and submittals

* Scanning and uploading documents and emails onto OnBase

* Soliciting quotes from Suppliers, Vendors and Subcontractors

* Management of job specific subcontractor related documents as applicable

* Creating submittals packages; including, but not limited to creating cover sheets, obtaining product data, maintenance information, SDS sheets, LEED letters, and shop drawings

* Assisting with forecasting / cost analysis

* Research and cost analysis of new products and manufacturers

* Producing cost breakdowns / color coded drawings

* Assisting with change order takeoff / pricing

* Drafting and submitting RFI's

* Assisting with QA process

* Assisting with job close-out process * Calculate unit costs based on quantity of material installed, hours worked, and labor dollars * Attend and participate in all required company training programs * Conform to all company policies and procedures * Intentionally lives out the company's mission, purpose, and values

Qualifications:

* Currently enrolled in Construction Management, Engineering, or other related field program * Strong communication and organizational skills * Ability to work independently and in a team setting * Eager to learn and apply project management principles in real-world settings * Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Excel, Word, Outlook); familiarity with project management software is a plus * No prior experience required, this is an entry-level, learning-focused opportunity
