HRIS Specialist

Location This role is based in either Troy, MI, Atlanta, GA, or Dallas, TX and requires working onsite 4 days per week, with 1 day remote. Candidates must live within commuting distance. HRIS Specialist The HR Operations Specialist supports the entire employee lifecycle, handling processes concerning recruiting, onboarding, offboarding, salary changes, promotions, compliance, reporting, and HRIS administration. Responsibilities also include supporting payroll in cooperation with the payroll team and acting as an ambassador to the BDA culture for a positive employee experience. Duties & Responsibilities Onboarding Coordinate global onboarding activities for all new hires, including employment documentation, background checks, I-9s, and new‑hire correspondence. Create complete new‑hire employment files in databases. Coordinate with internal teams to ensure equipment and access points are set up prior to an employee’s first day. ATS/HRIS Administration Create user accounts, manage access, and update employee information on HRIS. Provide technical support, troubleshooting, and guidance to ATS/Onboarding/HRIS users. Collaborate with HR to identify system improvements and enhancements; recommend and implement solutions. Conduct regular audits to verify the accuracy and completeness of all personnel data, including employment agreements, compensation, and employment contracts. Complete accurate data entry for payroll administration. Process terminations through HRIS and coordinate with IT for access shutdown and asset recovery. Other Duties Run regular reports to aid in data analytics, forecasting, and trends, including weekly personnel updates. Perform other HR projects and duties as assigned. Experience Requirements 2+ years of HR Administration experience. Bachelor’s degree in HR Management or Business Administration. Must have proven experience working in Workday. Additional experience with ADP Workforce Now preferred. Applicant Tracking and Onboarding System experience preferred. Excellent interpersonal and teamwork skills. Strong problem‑solving and customer‑service skills. Excellent PC skills including Word, Excel, and Outlook. Self‑starter with the ability to multitask, prioritize, and complete a high volume of tasks. Exceptional written and verbal communication. Demonstrated judgment, discretion, and sensitivity. Professionalism in dealing with internal and external partners. Compensation and Benefits Base salary range: $65,000 to $85,000. Compensation depends on geographic location, skills, education, and experience. The range represents the full base salary component; additional benefits include robust PTO, vacation, paid volunteer day, holidays, summer Fridays, medical, dental, vision, life and AD&D insurance, 401(k), tuition reimbursement, mental health and financial wellness programs, and professional development opportunities.
