Supervisory Intelligence Specialist (Staff Management)

Summary About the Position: This position is in the Defense Civilian Intelligence Personnel System (DCIPS). Employees occupying DCIPS positions are in the Excepted Service and must adhere to U.S. Code, Title 10, as well as Department of Defense Instruction 1400.25. This position is located at the US Army Intelligence and Security Command, Mission Support, Army Chief of Staff, at Fort Belvoir, Virginia. Responsibilities Perform day to day oversight over intelligence operations. Identify organizational opportunities and assessing capability gaps while develop/advocate new modernization related intelligence requirements and activities. Manage the full hiring life cycle, facilitating personnel changes, and filling vacancies to on-boarding new staff. Represent the organization at high level meetings and developing and maintaining active partnerships with key organizational intelligence personnel. Specialized experience is defined as performing day to day oversight over intelligence operations; Identifying organizational opportunities and assessing capability gaps while develop/advocate new modernization related intelligence requirements and activities.; managing the full hiring life cycle, facilitating personnel changes, and filling vacancies to on-boarding new staff; and represent organization at high level meetings and develop and maintain active partnerships with key organizational intelligence personnel. This specialized experience is equivalent to the GG/GS-14 or higher grade level in Federal service. You will be evaluated on the basis of your level of competency in the following areas: Leadership Organizational Development Personnel and Human Resources Stakeholder Management Progressively responsible experience is that which has included intelligence-related research, analysis, collections and /or operations. This experience should have included intelligence analysis and/or production, intelligence collection and/or operations, counterintelligence, or threat support directly related to the position to be filled. This experience should demonstrate: Knowledge of intelligence processes, cycle and organizations; Knowledge of and/or ability to use research tools such as library holdings, photographs, statistics, graphics and maps; Knowledge of the systems, procedures and methods of analyzing, compiling, reporting and disseminating intelligence data; and/or Knowledge of organization(s) for and methods of collecting and analyzing intelligence data. Education Additional Information This position requires a 2 year trial period during which the agency evaluates your fitness and whether your continued employment advances the public interest.
