Part Time Caregiver

Caregiver Job Description Assisting Hands Home Care is seeking compassionate, dependable, and dedicated CNA, HHA, and PCA Caregivers to join our team. In this role, you’ll provide personalized in-home support that helps clients maintain their independence, dignity, safety, and quality of life in the comfort of their own homes. As a caregiver, you’ll develop meaningful relationships with clients while assisting with personal care, mobility, companionship, and daily living activities. We’re looking for caring professionals who are patient, reliable, and committed to making a positive difference in the lives of seniors and individuals who need additional support. Responsibilities: Provide compassionate assistance with personal care, including bathing, grooming, dressing, and toileting. Assist clients with transfers, mobility, positioning, and other activities of daily living. Support clients with daily routines while promoting independence, dignity, and safety. Provide companionship and encourage meaningful social engagement and activities. Assist with dementia care using patience, compassion, and respectful communication. Prepare meals and perform light housekeeping duties as needed. Provide medication reminders and maintain accurate care documentation. Follow individualized care plans, company policies, and established safety procedures. Monitor clients for changes in physical, emotional, or behavioral condition and report concerns promptly. Maintain a clean, safe, and comfortable environment for clients. Communicate professionally with clients, families, caregivers, and the office team. Build positive and trusting relationships with clients and their families. Perform other caregiving duties as assigned. Qualifications: Active Virginia CNA, HHA, or PCA certification. Previous experience in personal care, dementia care, or mobility assistance preferred. Current CPR certification. Negative TB screening as required. Ability to successfully pass a background check. Valid driver’s license, reliable transportation, and current auto insurance. Ability to lift at least 25 pounds and safely assist clients with transfers. Excellent communication, interpersonal, and organizational skills. Compassionate, patient, dependable, and respectful approach to client care. Ability to work independently while following care plans and company guidelines. Availability for flexible part-time or full-time schedules, including weekday and weekend shifts.
