Maintenance Supervisor

Department: Maintenance Reports To: Maintenance Manager / Plant Manager Job Summary The Maintenance Supervisor oversees daily maintenance activities in a USDA-regulated food processing facility. This role ensures equipment reliability, plant safety, and compliance with USDA, food safety, and company standards while leading and supporting the maintenance team. Key Responsibilities Supervise and coordinate daily maintenance activities, including preventive and corrective maintenance Ensure equipment is maintained to meet USDA, food safety, and sanitation requirements Lead, train, and support maintenance technicians Troubleshoot and resolve equipment and utility issues to minimize downtime Coordinate maintenance activities with Production, QA, and Sanitation teams Enforce safety policies and lockout/tagout procedures Maintain maintenance records, work orders, and spare parts inventory Assist with equipment installations, upgrades, and continuous improvement projects Qualifications High school diploma or GED required; technical degree or certification preferred 3-5+ years of maintenance experience in a food or manufacturing environment Previous supervisory or lead experience preferred Working knowledge of mechanical, electrical, pneumatic, and hydraulic systems Familiarity with USDA regulations and food safety requirements Strong leadership, communication, and problem-solving skills Working Conditions Food processing environment with exposure to noise, temperature changes, and equipment Flexible schedule, including nights, weekends, and emergency call-ins as needed #jdp The Judge Group
