Project Engineering Coordinator

Project Engineering Coordinator MB Cable is seeking a Project Engineering Coordinator to support Commercial, Industrial, Utility, and Solar construction projects across the country. This person will serve as a technical resource and project liaison for engineers, contractors, distributors, and project stakeholders. The ideal candidate brings a strong technical foundation, enjoys working with project teams, reviewing construction documents, solving challenges, and supporting projects from design through completion. Responsibilities Review project plans, specifications, and electrical drawings to identify project requirements and opportunities. Provide technical sales solutions, support and product guidance to engineers, contractors, distributors, and project stakeholders. Coordinate project activities and communication throughout various phases of design, bidding, procurement, and construction. Assist with product selection, technical documentation, quotations, and project submittals. Support project tracking, scheduling, and follow-up to ensure timely project execution. Participate in meetings with design professionals, contractors, and owners to address project needs and technical questions. Collaborate with internal sales, operations, and manufacturer partners to develop effective project solutions. Maintain awareness of industry standards, codes, technologies, and market trends affecting project design and construction. Qualifications Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering, Electrical Engineering, Engineering Technology, Construction Management, or a related technical field. 3–5 years of experience in mechanical engineering, electrical engineering, project engineering, construction, technical sales, project coordination, or a related industry. Ability to read and interpret electrical drawings, specifications, and construction documents. Familiarity with commercial building systems, power distribution, lighting, controls, or related electrical infrastructure. Strong analytical, organizational, and problem‑solving skills. Excellent communication skills and the ability to work effectively with both technical and non-technical stakeholders. Preferred experience in tech sales. Understanding of technical project requirements, submittals, RFIs, project documentation, and how they coordinate. Familiarity with project management, design, or construction software platforms.
