Position Overview

Description of Responsibilities

• Conduct a variety of ultrasound examinationsincluding but not limited to abdominal, obstetric, gynecological, vascular, and small parts imaging.
• Prioritize patient comfort and safety during procedures, articulating each step with empathy and detail.
• Cultivate strong teamwork with radiologists and referring physicians to deliver high-quality diagnostic outcomes.
• Efficiently operate and maintain imaging technology, swiftly reporting any operational issues.
• Document all procedures accurately and maintain comprehensive patient records in the electronic medical system.
• Remain informed on advancements in ultrasound imaging techniques and methodologies.

Education Requirements

• Associate's or Bachelor's degree in Diagnostic Medical Sonography or a related discipline.
• Completion of a CAAHEP-accredited Sonography program is preferred.

Certifications Required

• Current certification from the American Registry for Diagnostic Medical Sonography (ARDMS) or an equivalent.
• BLS (Basic Life Support) certification is preferred.
