Controller - Television Commercial Production

Minted Content , a highly acclaimed Television Commercial Production company, is looking for a Controller to join our team in Santa Monica, CA. In this role, you will manage finances., providing critical insights to guide executive decision-making and ensure compliance with industry standards. This role requires someone who thrives in a fast-moving, high-performance environment and understands the nuances of  project-based production accounting.

Responsibilities:

• Manage and oversee all corporate and project-based finances
• Responsible for detailed general ledger analysis, month-end closing and financial statement preparation
• Manage bank account reconciliations, and oversee execution of accounts receivable, accounts payable, credit card and petty cash activities.
• Develop and manage cash flow forecasts, for both corporate and project-based requirements.
• Review and supervise all payroll activity including adherence to union requirements for DGA, IATSE and Teamsters per project.
• Identify and implement process improvements to enhance efficient of financial workflow and document management

Requirements:

• A minimum of a Bachelor’s Degree in Accounting, Finance or a related field.
• At least 5–7 years of experience preferably within the film/tv/commercial production sector in a corporate accounting role
• Possess excellent analytical and problem-solving skills with an eye for detail.
• Tech savvy in a mac environment including advanced proficiency with project-based accounting software as well as all Microsoft Office solutions

Note: This is a full-time, permanent role on-site at our corporate offices. This is not a remote or a hybrid position. Salary between $130,000 - $160,000 depending on qualifications.
