Registered Nurse - Intensive Care Unit - Travel

Job Description:

Step into a high-energy ICU role on a Level 2 trauma acute care unit, overseeing a 16-bed 2E SICU with continuous monitoring and around-the-clock intensivist support. We're seeking a clinician with at least two years of RN experience in acute care, current ACLS, BLS, and NIHSS certifications, proficiency with Cerner charting, and the ability to titrate complex drips. You will work night shifts with a guaranteed 36 hours per week, complete an eight-hour orientation, and have the option to self-schedule while potentially floating to MICU to meet unit needs. This position offers a collaborative, patient-centered environment with 24/7 intensivist presence, advanced ICU equipment, strong multidisciplinary teamwork, and a clear path to deepen critical care expertise.

Requirements:

• ICU RN with 2E SICU assignment
• ACLS (AHA)
• BLS (AHA)
• NIHSS
• Must titrate drips (Epi, norepi, propofol, precedex, vaso, dobutamine, heparin, insulin, dopamine, neo, milrinone)
• Nurse to patient ratios 1:2; higher acuity 1:1
• Charge nurse on every shift; Nursing House Supervisor 24/7
• RN in SICU may staff MICU if needed
• Shifts: 1900-0730; self-scheduling with agency
• Weekend requirements: Every other weekend (or more)
• Holiday requirements: Every other holiday (or more)
• Orientation: One day onboarding + two orientation shifts; skills checklist
• Unit: 2E SICU; 16 beds + 2 procedural beds
• Intensivist in house 24/7; RT in ICU 24/7; RT equipment including vents, BiPAP, etc.
