Forklift Operators Urgently Needed
Smyrna, TN
Key Responsibilities
- Operate sit-down manufacturing forklifts (Gas/Propane/Electric) to transport automotive stampings and assemblies.
- Supply production lines with raw materials, staging areas, and empty containers.
- Load and unload flatbed trucks and dry vans safely and efficiently.
- Perform daily pre-inspection checks on assigned equipment and report maintenance issues.
- Stack, organize, and inventory materials in designated warehouse locations.
- Adhere strictly to plant safety rules, pedestrian right-of-way policies, and PPE requirements.
Experience
Minimum 1 year of recent experience operating a sit-down forklift in a fast-paced manufacturing or warehouse setting (automotive experience preferred).
Skills
Strong spatial awareness, material handling expertise, and basic computer/scanner knowledge for inventory tracking.
Physical Demands
Ability to lift up to 40 lbs, climb on/off equipment frequently, and work in a non-climate-controlled plant environment.
Reliability
Excellent attendance, strong work ethic, and a valid driver's license.
