Registered Nurse (Labor & Delivery)

Assignment Duration

This is a 13-week contract position.

Schedule

Day Shift: 3x12-Hour (07:00 - 19:30). Weekend requirement: Every other weekend, totaling 4 shifts per schedule.

Job Description

We are seeking a skilled Registered Nurse for the Labor & Delivery unit. This candidate will work with a patient ratio of 1:2 and must be proficient in antepartum, labor & delivery, and postpartum care. The ideal nurse will be able to circulate for C-sections and assist with high-risk deliveries, demonstrating strong clinical skills in a fast-paced environment.

Responsibilities

• Perform triage of obstetrical patients.
• Utilize External Fetal Heart Monitoring (EFM) effectively.
• Maintain central lines (CVC / PICC) and manage anticoagulation therapy.
• Administer antihypertensives and insulin drips as needed.
• Provide postpartum couplet care and support on newborn role at delivery.

Required Experience / Certifications / Licensure

• Minimum of 2 years of experience in Labor & Delivery.
• First-timers are accepted.
• Certifications required: ACLS, BCLS, NRP.
• Valid compact RN license must be in hand at submission.
