NETWORK ADMINISTRATOR

Network Administrator Open Position Request Number: R-U-26 Classification: Network Administrator Grade: Exempt; Regular Full-time Essential Functions Successful candidates will be proficient in administering Local Area Networks (LAN) and possibly Secure Internet Protocol Networks (SIPRNET) equipment such as TACLANES and IPSEC Tunnels. They will implement new network operating systems hardware and software and develop Wide Area Network (WAN) operating procedures. This position will also configure, install, and maintain network systems to include the LAN/WAN. They will maintain an inventory of all network hardware and software and install, configure, and troubleshoot network and application server hardware, network operating system software, and other peripheral network appliances. They will also monitor operation of the LAN/WAN and ensure hardware and network operating software are functioning properly and that operational standards are met. They will provide support for the resolution of complex problems and operating malfunctions. They will perform system backups, and restoration as required. General Duties Perform daily administration of the network servers and critical network systems. Advanced troubleshooting and problem solving skills are essential. Read and interpret written information and effectively communicate verbally and in writing. Work a flexible schedule due to operational support requirements. Lift 50 lbs. Job Requirements Education/Experience: Requires CCNA or CCNA Security certification and mid-senior level experience in network administration. Must have a CompTIA Security+ certification or obtain it within 6 months. Experience with Cisco routers and switches is mandatory. Demonstrated knowledge of VLANs, interior routing protocols, 802.1X, Cisco ISE, SolarWinds, Palo Alto firewalls, network management and IP management is desired. DoD Information Assurance experience, particularly in IAVA and STIG evaluation, network security, application and management, is a plus. Other Requirements: Requires a Secret security clearance. Candidates must be eligible to obtain and maintain a Secret clearance. All selected candidates must pass a background investigation and drug test. The position supports E-OMS operational objectives and adheres to company quality, safety, environmental, security, and administrative policies. Supports process improvement. Other Duties Additional duties may be assigned to support contract/mission support requirements in job-related areas. Work Environment Normally performed in an office environment. Physical Demands Must be able to lift 50 lbs and sit at a workstation for long periods. The position involves substantial wrist, hand, and finger motions. Must have close visual acuity for tasks such as preparing and analyzing data and figures, and viewing a computer terminal.
