Job Title

Travel RN – Medical/Surgical (General Medicine)

Location

Birmingham, Alabama

Schedule / Job Type

Contract | 13 Weeks | Night Shift (6:45 PM – 7:15 AM) | 36 Hours/Week Guaranteed | Onsite

Key Responsibilities

• Provide direct patient care on a 24-bed General Medicine unit with a 1:6 patient ratio
• Administer medications and treatments utilizing Barcode Medication Administration (BCMA) protocols
• Collaborate with interdisciplinary care teams to coordinate and communicate patient care plans
• Document patient assessments, interventions, and outcomes accurately within the EMR system
• Float to other units within the acute care division as required
• Work every other weekend as part of the standard schedule

Required Qualifications

• Active Registered Nurse (RN) license in good standing
• Minimum 2 years of acute care experience
• Current Basic Life Support (BLS) certification
• Current NIH Stroke Scale (NIHSS) certification
• Proficiency with BCMA systems
• Strong time management and interdisciplinary communication skills

Preferred Experience / Skills

• Experience with EPIC EMR
• Background in General Medicine or Medical/Surgical nursing
• Professional, adaptable, and patient-centered approach to care with a commitment to established processes
