Company Information

A company in Columbus, Indiana is hiring a 1st Shift Lead Industrial Electrician to their team! This is a direct hire opportunity!

This position is responsible for troubleshooting, repairing, maintaining, and upgrading electrical and mechanical systems throughout the facility. The ideal candidate will have experience working with industrial automation equipment, PLCs, robotics, and electrical control systems.

Schedule

1st Shift: Monday-Friday / 6:30am-2:45pm

Job Duties

Lead and support maintenance technicians in daily electrical and automation troubleshooting activities
Troubleshoot, repair, maintain, and upgrade plant electrical systems
Work with PLCs, programmable controllers, VFDs, PWM drives, servo motors, and related equipment
Diagnose and repair electrical, mechanical, hydraulic, and pneumatic systems
Read and interpret wiring diagrams, schematics, blueprints, and technical drawings
Perform preventative maintenance on manufacturing equipment
Install, modify, adjust, and repair electrical components and controls
Troubleshoot Allen Bradley, Mitsubishi, Fanuc, and other automation systems
Support production by responding to equipment breakdowns and emergency repairs
Follow all plant safety procedures and report potential hazards
Maintain accurate records of repairs and maintenance activities

Requirements

4+ years of industrial maintenance, electrical maintenance, or automation experience **OR **Associate degree or technical certification in Industrial Maintenance Technology, Maintenance Electrician, Mechatronics, or a related field
At least 2 years of leadership, supervisory, lead technician, or team lead experience in a manufacturing environment
Ability to read and interpret wiring diagrams and electrical schematics
Knowledge of electrical troubleshooting and repair techniques
Experience with PLCs and industrial automation systems preferred
Experience with Fanuc and/or Motoman robotics preferred
Knowledge of electrical, mechanical, hydraulic, and pneumatic systems
