Job Title

RN – Medical Surgical Telemetry

Location

Des Moines, IA

Schedule / Job Type

Contract | Night Shift | 7:00 PM – 7:30 AM | Every Other Weekend / Every Other Holiday

Key Responsibilities

• Provide direct patient care on a Medical Surgical Telemetry unit
• Monitor and interpret telemetry readings and cardiac rhythms
• Assess, plan, implement, and evaluate individualized patient care plans
• Collaborate with interdisciplinary care teams to coordinate patient care
• Administer medications and treatments in accordance with physician orders and facility protocols

Required Qualifications

• Active Registered Nurse (RN) license in the state of Iowa or compact licensure eligibility
• Current BLS certification
• Experience in a Medical Surgical or Telemetry nursing setting
• Ability to work night shifts (7:00 PM – 7:30 AM)
• Availability to work every other weekend and every other holiday

Preferred Experience / Skills

• ACLS certification
• Prior telemetry monitoring and cardiac rhythm interpretation experience
• Experience with electronic health record (EHR) systems
