This position is part of a team tasked with goals of maximizing safety, quality, and productivity with the casting team.ResponsibilitiesCoordinate metallurgy activities with fellow metallurgists, engineers, and shift supervisors Work with operators to teach steelmaking processes and provide technical support Statistical analysis of process and operator feedback Provide continuous product and process improvement Evaluate new process technologies Coordinate with suppliers and optimize cost Assist with coordination of ISO/IATF activities for department Develop corrective and preventative actions ·Become proficient with ELC, JSA, QWI and Quality systems Support and develop safety improvements within the processQualificationsRequiredBS degree or equivalent in Metallurgy, Material Science or related engineering field Highly effective communication and interpersonal skills Ability to work without supervision Steel Dynamics, Inc., and all affiliated entities are equal opportunity employers.
