Job Summary And Qualifications The Labor & Delivery RN provides direct nursing care in accordance with established policies, procedures and protocols of the healthcare organization. The Labor & Delivery Unit has 8 Labor beds, 2 OR’s, 3 Obed (obstetrics emergency department) and 3 Antepartum beds. There is a midwife on unit, occasionally. The L&D RN will treat expecting mothers providing support before, during and after labor. We are an Agency for Health Care Administration (AHCA) Primary Stroke Center. HCA Florida Palms West Hospital has emergency services, a dedicated New Life Center and a Level II NICU. We have a full-service Children’s Hospital. Services include outpatient rehabilitation, an aquatics center, orthopedic spine center, robotics, and interventional radiology.
