About the Role:

We are currently looking for a Laborer to join our facility in Jersey City, NJ.

Shift: 3rd, 12am- 8:30am (Job Type: Full-time) | Location: Jersey City, NJ | Pay Rate: $23.53

Responsibilities:

• Inspects materials and sorts items or materials into piles or places in bins or barrels according to type, size, condition, coloring, marking, or other characteristics
• Operate safety equipment and use safe work habits
• Operate machinery used in the production process or assist equipment operators
• Load and unload items from machines, conveyor and conveyances
• Moves reusable materials to production department or storage
• Separates metal particles from waste
• Cleaning which includes; sweeping and shoveling residual waste from process
• Removes waste materials from conveyor
• Other duties may be assigned

Minimum Job Qualifications:

• High School diploma or general education degree (GED)
• One year minimum experience in a heavy industrial setting or equivalent combination of education and experience

Preferred Job Qualifications:

• Ability to speak, read, and write in both English and Spanish is strongly preferred .

Working Conditions and Physical Requirements:

While performing the duties of this Job, the employee is regularly exposed to moving mechanical parts; and outside weather conditions. The employee is frequently exposed to high, precarious places and vibration. The noise level in the work environment is usually loud

• Regularly required to stand and reach with hands and arms.

• Must regularly lift and /or move up to 25 pounds, frequently lift and/or move up to 50 pounds and occasionally lift and/or move up to 100 pounds.
• Specific vision abilities required by this job include close vision, distance vision, peripheral vision, depth perception and ability to adjust focus.
